National Poetry Day

Thursday, October 7th is " National Poetry Day " and it will be celebrated all day at Bromsgrove Library.

One of our Words Supporters - Pat Leighton - has taken a spot between 2.00.p.m and 2.30.p.m in the Bromsgrove Library for a Poetry Reading.

The theme is " Choices " and she has left a blue A4 Folder in the Library for people to pop in copies of their favourite poems, or leave her a title which she can look up. Also, you can email her - pat3leighton@btinternet.com- with a copy or title.

There is no age limit - she has had already some cracking suggestions from a young poetry reader !!!

Hopefully, people visiting the Library before the Day will read and enjoy the poems in the folder and on the Day itself Pat will read some of the choices which people have suggested, as well as a few new poems of her own.

Please see the poster here, and if you wish to know more, or would like to participate, please contact Bronwen Raza at the Library or email her at braza@worcestershire.gov.uk.
