Stephen Page, who was born and raised in Bromsgrove, is the Executive Chair of Faber and Faber, one of the World’s leading Independent Publishing Houses, for which he was Chief Executive from 2001-2021, and makes a welcome return to WORDS.

His talk will be an eye witness account of what has happened to the Book Industry during the last twenty years and how it has thrived and confounded the expectations of its destruction in the face of digital transformation. It is a story of rebellious leaders, visionary booksellers, bold publishers, and the power of writers in a period of dramatic societal change !!!
