Thursday, October 7th is " National Poetry Day " and it will be celebrated all day at Bromsgrove Library.

We are pleased to advise you that tickets for the next WORDS Event, at 12 midday on Wednesday, October 6th in the New Gueston Hall at Avoncroft Museum, when we welcome the author Joanna Toye, are now on sale.

On Monday, July 26th, a short film about Bromsgrove and its Poets was premiered at the Methodist Centre in Bromsgrove. It featured four Bromsgrove poets - A.E.Housman, Geoffrey Hill, Molly Holden and Sally Purcell.

Kate Shaw, who together with Jennie McGregor Smith and Margaret Cooper founded WORDS in the late 1970's, and who for many years has been the driving force behind WORDS, has decide to step down from being Chair.
